Editorial Director

As editorial director, Diane Sherlock oversees the editing, design, and production of NCTL’s publications. She works collaboratively to produce informative and engaging publications, presenting best practices, current research, and policy trends that advance NCTL’s mission.

Prior to joining NCTL in 2011, Diane focused on development communications at Harvard University, where she received her BA in History and Literature and earned a Master of Education. She was editor of the Radcliffe Quarterly and founding managing editor of The Yard and The Yard Online, Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences alumni magazine. Diane also served as an editorial manager at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and as the first director of communications at the then newly-established Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.
With a background in journalism, Diane started her career as an on-air news reporter and award-winning national producer of commercial and public television. She has served on the boards of Massachusetts Advocates for Children, Boston-area youth arts organizations, and the Chestnut Hill School in Newton, MA. A certified mediator, Diane continues to help parties resolve their disputes at the New England office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and in the Massachusetts district courts.
