Diane Sherlock

Editorial Director

As editorial director, Diane Sherlock oversees the editing, design, and production of National Center on Time & Learning publications. Diane enjoys working collaboratively to produce informative and engaging publications that further NCTL’s mission.

Prior to joining NCTL, in 2011, Diane focused on development communications at Harvard University, where she received her BA and earned a Master’s in Education. She was editor of the Radcliffe Quarterly and founding managing editor of The Yard and The Yard Online, Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences alumni magazine. Diane also served as an editorial manager at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the first content editor of the multimedia educational website Harvard@Home, and interim director of communications at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.

With a background in journalism, Diane started her career as an on-air news reporter and award-winning producer of commercial and public television. In 2009, she established Sherlock Communications, dedicated to advancing nonprofits through media. Her clients have included Emerson College and Massachusetts Advocates for Children, where she serves on the board.

Diane is also co-author of The Cremaldi Cookbook, published by Doubleday (1988). A trained courtroom mediator, Diane currently volunteers to help parties resolve small claims and landlord-tenant disputes in Massachusetts district courts. Having grown up in Manhattan, she lives in Boston Metrowest with her husband and their blended family.
